### Step-by-step - How to create a Group DM

1. Click the blue ‘Compose’ button.
2. Click the ‘Group Chat’ tab.
3. Add people to your group chat by Tapping the ‘+’ button. Note: you can have up to 8 including yourself. Search for your contacts in the search bar, select contacts by tapping the box next to their name.
4. Add a subject line to summarise the message, set expectations and help with organisation.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** This step is optional, if you skip this step - the names of the Group DM members will become the subject line.
{% endhint %}

5. Add your message and click ‘send’. This will instantly start the chat, just as simple as sending an email.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** This step is optional, if you skip this step - the group DM will automatically be created with a blank chat view screen, in which you can then send a message.
{% endhint %}
